Vehicle setup
Cockpit drill, selector positions, starting procedure, safety checks and secure parking.
Passers Hub automatic tuition
Develop safe observation, road positioning and independent decision-making without operating a clutch or changing gears manually.
Structured automatic lessons are available across confirmed areas in Manchester, Blackburn and Preston for beginners, nervous learners, partly trained pupils and drivers switching transmission.

Automatic learning pathway
An automatic vehicle manages gear changes, but safe driving still depends on observation, planning, steering, braking, speed, road position and judgement. Lessons teach you to control the vehicle smoothly while directing more attention to the changing road environment.
Cockpit drill, selector positions, starting procedure, safety checks and secure parking.
Smooth pull-aways, creep control, progressive braking, steering and safe stopping.
Observations, junctions, roundabouts, lane choice, meeting traffic and hazards.
Automatic-specific coaching
Understand how the car moves when the brake is released and control low-speed situations without rushing.
Use progressive pressure, plan stopping distance and avoid harsh late braking in changing traffic.
Recognise Park, Reverse, Neutral and Drive, select safely, and secure the vehicle before changing direction.
Prepare observations, use the brake and vehicle systems correctly, then move away smoothly and safely.
Combine slow control with all-round observation during bays, parallel parking and pull-up-on-right exercises.
Use available aids appropriately without allowing cameras, sensors or other systems to replace direct observation.
Licence choice
If you pass your practical test in an automatic car, your licence will generally be restricted to automatic vehicles. You would normally need to pass a manual practical test before driving a manual car.
Always check the categories and restriction codes shown on your licence and current official guidance if your circumstances differ.
Automatic may suit you if…
Automatic lessons do not guarantee that you will need fewer lessons or find every aspect of driving easy.
Who we support
Teaching standards
Every lesson is delivered by a fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). Passers Hub does not use trainee Potential Driving Instructors (PDIs), and every instructor has more than 10 years of professional driver-training experience.
Language support in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati may be available. Ask when enquiring so current instructor and language availability can be checked.
Confirmed prices
The number of lessons needed varies with experience, confidence, practice and progress. No honest result or lesson total can be guaranteed.
Automatic lessons near you
Availability varies by postcode and instructor. Send your location when enquiring for a current check.
Compare transmissions
You prefer simpler vehicle operation and accept that an automatic test normally leads to an automatic-only licence.
You want the licence flexibility to drive both manual and automatic cars after passing and are comfortable learning clutch and gear control.
Genuine evidence standard
Passers Hub publishes genuine supplied pupil photographs, videos and branded tuition-vehicle evidence where details have been confirmed. It does not invent automatic-specific results or label a pupil’s transmission unless that fact is known.
Confirmed evidence includes learner results in Manchester and Blackburn with Darwen and genuine branded P455 HUB and PA55 HUB vehicles. Results vary and a first-time pass is never guaranteed.

Automatic lesson help
Automatic lessons are £40 per hour or £380 for 10 hours.
An automatic removes manual clutch and gear operation, which some learners prefer. Observation, planning, road position, speed and judgement still require practice.
An automatic practical-test pass generally results in a licence restricted to automatic vehicles. You would normally need to pass a manual practical test before driving a manual car.
Yes. Your existing road knowledge can be reviewed so the automatic plan starts from your actual ability.
They can be. Lessons may begin in calmer conditions and progress gradually, but automatic transmission does not remove every challenge of learning to drive.
Automatic tuition is offered across confirmed areas in Manchester, Blackburn and Preston, subject to postcode and instructor availability.
There is no fixed number for everyone. Experience, confidence, practice and learning pace all influence the time required.
